Step 3 : Get started

Class sessions and lessons

A class session is the time period when a class is offered.

A majority of the classes do not have a session end date; however, if a class does, the end date will be displayed on the class overview page.

Lessons for a specific class are listed on the class overview page and remain accessible 24/7 until the class session is over.

There are three types of classes to suit your particular learning style and needs:

Instructor led - Topics taught in anywhere from 2 to 8 lessons, each taking about 20 minutes each. All lessons are available immediately so you can go at your own pace. You can also ask questions and discuss course topics with your instructor and fellow students on a discussion board.

Quick lessons - Short topics taught in one lesson. Quick lessons do not have an instructor or message board available online.

How to videos - Learn quick tips. Most are approximately 2 minutes in length.

Instructors

HP Learning center class instructors are subject-matter experts who enjoy teaching and interacting with students. Among them are award-winning authors, technology leaders, and professionals. The class overview page provides more detail about the instructor.

During a class session, you can use the message board to get help from your instructor or converse with other students about the topics covered in the class.

Reminders

When you enroll in a class, you will receive an email confirmation that your enrollment was successful. You will also get an email with convenient links to your lessons, message board and other class news. We will also send you an email if the class session end date is soon.
