Before registering to use the NevadaTax site to manage your business tax accounts online, you must be registered with the Nevada Department of Taxation. If you are registered with the Department of Taxation, you should gather the information requested and then click the Next button. After submitting the appropriate information, the process may take 1-3 business days to complete the site registration. If your business has not made a payment or filed a return with taxes due, you may request an access code be mailed via United States Postal Service (USPS) to the address your business has on file with the Nevada Department of Taxation.

* Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 SP2 (or greater) is the only browser certified
to work with NevadaTax.
* The website also displays PDF files of tax returns developed with Adobe
Acrobat.
* If JavaScript is disabled or not available on your browser this can reduce or
disable important functionality. Check your browser's options to ensure
JavaScript is enabled. Early versions of Internet Explorer and Netscape are
likely to have problems executing JavaScript contained in this site.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register to use NevadaTax?

Click on the "Sign up for NevadaTax" menu option in the menu bar from the home page of the NevadaTax website. You will be asked to fill out some required information to register. If you are not currently registered with the Department of Taxation, you must submit a Nevada Business Registration form before you can register to use the NevadaTax site.

How do I unlock my account if I entered in the wrong username and/or password more than 3 times?

Your account will automatically unlock after 30 minutes. If you still can't login after 30 minutes contact the Department of Taxation using the information provided on the "Contact Us" page.

How do I change my username or password?

After logging into NevadaTax, go to the "My Profile" option in the menu bar located at the left of the screen. You will see the option to change you username, password, and update your contact information.

How do I make a payment?

After selecting a business you should see an option to "Pay" in the menu bar located at the left of the screen. You will have the option to make a payment for underpaid accounts or schedule a payment.

How do I File a return?

You must select an account from the "Business Details" screen to file a return. Once you select an account you will see the "File" option appear in the menu located to the left of the screen.

What is EFT Registration?

The "EFT Registration" section allows you to register and maintain your registration for Electronic Funds Transfers(EFT). By registering for EFT-ACH Debit you provide your bank account information to the Department of Taxation, and then when you have tax liabilities due you can choose the Payment Option of ACH Debit, and an Automated Clearing House(ACH) withdraws the funds. This saves you from having to enter the bank account information each time you make a payment.
